It is no exaggeration to call
Chiluvuru a secular village for it is a miniature form of India letting its inhabitants enjoys themselves the doctrines of their religion, profession and customs without clash.
Chiluvuru created history when it became the first village in Andhra Pradesh, and the second in India to become ‘
Rajeev Internet Village’ i.e.; a village connected with internet facility that villagers would use for interacting with experts in agriculture and for online medical assessment and assistance. This is a big leap in the technology bridging initiative, and was financially supported by Mr.
Devi Prasad Katragadda who was born in Chiluvuru.
This village population is about 8000 and has people from different religions, castes, and walks of life, living in pace, harmony and brotherhood. The village serves as an example of secularism.
The lemon gardens, Guava Gardens, Chicoo gardens of this village are the main crops and many villagers from this village and from other villages come here and do business basing on these gardens and it's a main survival for the village people. The village has been guided with the wise choice of its children who served it with utmost responsibility, like Mr.
Devi Prasad Katragadda, and has been lead to a new era of village empowerment with facilities like the e-governance.
With the help of villagers, elders, and donations from several prominent people from the village, and from
Katragadda charitable trust, the village has seen a transformation. Over years the village has seen pakka roads, power supply, a veterinary hospital, a primary school, a panchayath building, a library building, connecting roads, Andhra bank, telephone exchange, and several other facilities.
